Senior Family Law Attorney

San Diego, California | Hybrid

A growing and highly respected family law practice is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its San Diego office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated family law matters, appearing in court, working directly with clients, and being part of a collaborative, supportive team.

The ideal candidate will have recent, consecutive California family law experience and be comfortable independently managing cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a family law caseload independently
• Handle client communications and provide strategic legal guidance
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
• Conduct evidentiary hearings and participate in trials
• Develop case strategy and move matters forward with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Contribute to business development and networking efforts
• Mentor junior attorneys and law clerks as needed

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of recent, consecutive California family law experience
• Strong litigation and courtroom experience
• Experience handling hearings and trials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload
• Strong organizational and client-management abilities
• Team-oriented mindset and professional demeanor

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary estimated between $175,000 - $220,000, depending on experience
